Recently, officers have received two complaints regarding frauds associated with a loved one involved in a motor vehicle collision.
In the two complaints victims were contacted by an individual claiming to be a grandchild who was involved in a collision and they claim to need more than $3,000 to get out of trouble. The victims were instructed to put the money in bubble wrap and drop it off at a location in Sault Ste. Marie.
Seniors were targeted in both incidents.
