On August 4, 2020 officers with Investigation Services arrested 23-year-old Jessy Geneau-Ouellette of Windsor, Ontario with weapon offences.
On July 14, 2020 at 12:25 a.m. a victim called police to report an incident in the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard. While sitting in their vehicle the victim says a man wearing a mask approached their vehicle and pointed a firearm in their direction. They were able to flee the area safely.
The investigation revealed the accused to be the suspect in this incident. The accused was in custody on a previous charge when officers arrested him.
He is charged with use of a firearm or imitation in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, attempted robbery, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to an order and wearing a disguise.
He was held for bail court.
