Quebec reports 104 new cases of COVID-19, six deaths linked to virus

MONTREAL — Quebec is reporting 104 new COVID-19 cases and six new deaths linked to the virus.

It’s the first time authorities have confirmed more than 100 new infections since Aug. 12, when they reported the same number of cases as today.

The province has now reported 61,599 COVID-19 infections and 5,739 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

Of the new deaths, two were reported in the past 24 hours, three occurred between Aug. 15 and Aug. 20, and one was before Aug. 15.

The province’s Health Department says it saw a reduction in the number of hospitalizations to 124 — down 12 from the previous day.

Of those, 16 patients remain in intensive care, seven fewer than a day earlier.

  1. Masks do not prevent you from getting the virus, would a chain link fence prevent a mosquito from passing through it, no!!! Read the box of masks you are wearing it is clearly stated on the box!!!!!
