A $5,875 grant from the COVID-19 Emergency Community Support Fund will assist people in Algoma with spinal cord injuries connect virtually with peer mentors.
“Spinal Cord Injury Ontario is grateful to the Algoma Community Foundation and the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund for their generous contribution of $5,875 to The [email protected] Project – Algoma. This timely and vital support assists us in overcoming the barriers COVID-19 has created. Together we are making certain people with spinal cord injury in Algoma remain safe and connected at a critical time in their lives,” said Spinal Cord Injury Ontario CEO Dr. Stuart Howe.
The money will help the organization buy new accessibility equipment for those who need it.
