On August 16, 2020 officers with the Drug Enforcement Unit and Patrol Services arrested 27-year-old Ginalisa Fusco and 21-year-old Brett Ouimet for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Around 3:00 p.m. officers observed two people near the entrance of a business in the 0-100 block of Queen Street East. Upon seeing police, the two individuals ran from the area. Officers, located the two individuals in a vehicle parked behind the business.
Upon speaking with the individuals it was learned Mr. Ouimet was bound by conditions to remain in his residence and Ms. Fusco was wanted on outstanding warrants. Both of the accused were arrested.
A subsequent search of the two accused found Mr. Ouimet to be in possession of an amount of a substance believed to be fentanyl, and Ms. Fusco was found to be in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine and fentanyl. A further search of the vehicle located several more bags of fentanyl.
In total 112.7 grams of fentanyl and .43 grams crack cocaine were seized. The estimated street value of the substances seized is $56, 428.
Ms. Fusco is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 19, 2020.
Mr. Ouimet is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and breach of recognizance. He was held for bail court.
