A 12-lesson course called Indigenous Canada is being offered online free of charge through the University of Alberta.
It explores the history of Canada’s Indigenous people while also looking at current issues facing today’s Indigenous people.
Topics include the fur trade, land claims, as well as environmental impacts, legal systems and rights, and Indigenous political activism among other topics.
