Anti-carbon tax sticker law unconstitutional

TORONTO — An Ontario court has ruled that a law forcing gas stations across the province to display anti-carbon tax stickers is unconstitutional.

The decision from Superior Court Justice Edward Morgan came down this afternoon.

The Canadian Civil Liberties Association challenged the law, saying it violates free speech provisions because it constitutes compelled political speech.

More coming.
