SAULT STE MARIE, MI – Easterday Ave. has been ripped apart between Hyde Street and Industrial Drive in the city.
In a joint project with the Michigan Department of Transportation picking up 80 percent of the cost, the milling and resurfacing should take about three weeks.
Traffic still has access to the street while construction is ongoing however residents should expect everything that comes with construction season. Flaggers, stopping/slowing of traffic and lane closures will cause delays. Motorists are asked to please use caution when travelling through this area.
The cost is projected to be around $440,000 leaving the city paying about $88,000 towards the project. The DOT funding is coming as part of the Small Urban grand program.
The city’s engineering department can be reached at 906-632-5700 if you have any questions or concerns about this project.
