SAULT STE. MARIE – On August 31, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 47-year-old Selena Sampson for impaired driving – alcohol and drugs.
At 10:16 p.m. officers observed a running vehicle parked on Dundas Street. Officers approached the vehicle and observed the accused at the rear of the vehicle, with the back hatch open. Upon speaking with the accused officers developed grounds to believe the accused was impaired by drugs.
The accused completed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and performed poorly. She was arrested. A subsequent search of the accused found her to be in possession of 0.96 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Later the accused completed a Drug Recognition Evaluation and performed poorly.
She is charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs and possession of a controlled substance. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 5, 2020.
