The Ontario government is releasing its priorities for the Fall session of the Legislature.
The Ford Conservatives will be focusing on job creation, skills training, attracting investment, and fortifying the front lines of Ontario’s health care system.
“Over the past few weeks, we have heard from people in every corner of the province and from all walks of life that they continue to feel the impact of the pandemic each and every day,” says Premier Doug Ford. “To start us down the road to long-term recovery, this legislative session will focus on implementing our comprehensive plan to get Ontario back on track.”
One of the Province’s specific priorities about health care is ensuring all of the province’s hospitals are prepared for a potential second wave of COVID-19.
It is also looking to build on Ontario’s production capacity for personal protective equipment, ventilators and other medical gear with an eye on eliminating the potential for reliance on other jurisdictions.
Some other items on the provincial government’s priority list include accelerating construction of critical highway, transit and broadband infrastructure projects aimed at boosting the economy and creating jobs.
