Equipment failure is getting the blame for a power outage that left 6,000 PUC customers in the dark.
The lights went out just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the west end of Sault Ste Marie, affecting customers from Farwell to Gros Cap and Base Line to Lakeshore Drive.
Power was eventually fully restored around 8 p.m.
