On September 9, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 21-year-old Aaron Lapossie for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
At 2:48 a.m. officers observed a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Andrew Street. A traffic stop was conducted and upon approaching the vehicle officers identified the driver, and the accused who was in the passenger seat. Officers detected a smell of cannabis and formed reasonable grounds to believe cannabis was in the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle and the two occupants, found the accused to be in possession of substances believed to be narcotics; including 14.77 grams of cocaine, 3.36 grams of methamphetamine, 8.5 oxycodone tablets and Canadian currency.
The accused was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 26, 2020.
