Ontario Hockey League releases key dates

TORONTO, ON – The OHL has released some good news ahead of the upcoming season.

In a press release, the league announced the season will go ahead including key dates and highlighted some challenges.

Teams start training camp on November 15 with the pre-season play on the weekends of November 20-22 and 27-29. The season’s expected start date is December 1, which was previously announced.

The league is working with government officials to manage the involvement of the three American teams – Flint Firebirds, Saginaw Spirit and Erie Otters. They are planning the requirements for fans to attend live games.

The trade deadline is February 10, 2021. The season ends on April 29. The playoffs run until June 14 and Sault Ste. Marie is still in the running to host the Memorial Cup presented by Kia between June 17-27, 2021.
