CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MI – The Chippewa County Health Department is reporting a significant spike in COVID-19 cases.
Today’s release of regional coronavirus numbers shows 18 new cases, bringing the total to 143 confirmed/probable COVID-19 infections.
There are two new recoveries bringing the total number of recovered cases to 82, leaving 61 active coronavirus cases.
The health department acknowledges these stats may be a bit overwhelming, but they include cases that came in over the weekend and do not represent a single-day total.
The health department is reminding everyone to practice social distancing, frequent hand washing, and to wear a mask when possible.
