On October 27, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 32-year-old Cameron McDonald for theft over $5,000.
In the early morning hours of October 27, 2020 officers responded to a call of a break and enter in progress in the 0-100 block of Sharon Crescent. The complainant reported a white SUV parked in their driveway and someone attempting to take items. When on route to the area officers witnessed a white SUV leaving the area.
Officers were able to identify the vehicle and determine it had recently been reported stolen. Officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of Breton Road and a man matching the description from the reported incident on Sharon Crescent.
He was arrested. A subsequent search of the area of arrest found the accused to be in possession of a key to the stolen vehicle, a lock wrapped in a bandana, a can of bear spray and approximately one gram of a substance believed to be fentanyl.
He is charged with theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, possession a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a controlled substance, trespassing at night and breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 7, 2020.
