Sault Ste Marie is getting some credit for Michigan’s entrepreneurial growth and economic development.

The Sault was honored as a four-star community along with 94 other Michigan communities in the annual eCities study conducted by iLabs, University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Center for Innovation Research.

“This was the seventh year that the City of Sault Ste. Marie received this recognition, and the Sault EDC has plans to continue the tradition in years to come,” said EDC Director Jeff Holt. “We are pleased to once again be recognized and compared to other communities such as Traverse City, Petoskey, and Auburn Hills.”

The Sault EDC is a non-profit organization that fosters economic growth in the community through its dedication to helping entrepreneurs establish and expand their businesses.
