APH Reporting Another COVID-19 Case

Another COVID-19 case has been uncovered by Algoma Public Health bringing the total for the district to 56.

APH says the latest case acquired the virus through close contact with an infected person and is now self-isolating.

Citizens are reminded of the importance of handwashing, social distancing and mask-wearing to guarding against infection and stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Algoma Public Health notifies all close contacts directly. If you are not contacted by APH, you are not considered a close contact.

This latest case comes a day after the health unit reported eight new cases in one report.

  1. So quattro gets allowed to have a massive religious convention drawing people from all over and now suddenly sault ste marie gets a ton of covid cases? My business is a breath away from closing due to covid and covid restrictions. If new restrictions are imposed because of the current case spike of 9 and my business is impacted then I’ll use the freedom of information act to access the contract tracing and if it proves to be quattro related then that should be a decent lawsuit.
