East End Fire

Sault Ste. Marie Ont. –  At approximately 10:40 p.m. Monday night, Sault Fire Services responded to the corner of Trunk Road and Queensgate boulevard.

Upon arrival they found a white building was fully involved.

Every crew from the city was on scene as well as the Platoon Commander. They ventilated the building and were still on scene at time of publishing.

Police, PUC and Ambulance were also dispatched to the call. Police were seen looking for footprints in the snow shortly after their arrival.

There is no word on cause or damages at this time.

  1. Great job on the photos and being on scene. It is so great to have a news organization that truly cares to deliver the news as it happens rather than 3 days later after the city’s media people have watered everything down. I heard that back when Figliola was fire chief that the city stopped the on scene Commanders from speaking to the media. I guess they were trying to hide the fact that the city actually did have fires, and reporting them would interfere with Chief Figliola, CAO Horsman and Mayor Provenzano’s plan to cut the fire service down to nothing. Keep up the great work Dan. You are a true asset to the local news.

  2. Awesome Pictures very moving ,who ever took these pictures needs a pay raise.Saultonline DAN GREY is an Excellant reporter, nice to know we have a journalist back on the news beat!
