Man Charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

On November 14, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 48-year-old James Syrette for possession of a prohibited weapon.

At 10:02 p.m. officers attended a residence in the 100 block of Albert Street East regarding an unwanted person. Upon arrival officers identified the accused and advised him he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

He was arrested and a subsequent search of the area of arrest found him to be in possession of brass knuckles and .5 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl.

He is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a controlled substance. He was held for WASH court.

  1. So…..Slap on the wrist and back on the street in an hour or less ??? What in hell is wrong with our justice system in this country???
