SSM Police: Watch for tainted candy

A social media report of tainted candy being handed out has been confirmed by police.

Lincoln Louttit the communications manager verified the incident in an e-mail provided to Sault Online.

“We received a call of someone allegedly giving candy to teenagers, the children who received the candy informed officers it appeared wrappers had been tampered with,” said Louttit.

“Officers advised the complainant to throw the candy away. No license plate number of the vehicle allegedly involved was provided.”

The incident allegedly happened on or near Pim Street. According to social media, it was a black vehicle handing out the candy.
