Woman Charged With Impaired Driving

Sault Police Station

On November 8, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 34-year-old Rebecca Tegosh for impaired driving – alcohol and drugs.

At 8:11 a.m. officers responded to a call of a disturbance in the 100 block of James Street. Upon arrival officers observed a woman in the driver’s seat of a SUV with the engine running. Upon approaching the vehicle, the woman identified herself as the accused and officers detected a smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle and the accused.

Officers developed reasonable grounds to believe her ability to operate a vehicle was impaired by alcohol and she was arrested. She later provided two breath samples into an approved device and registered two fail results.

She is charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs and impaired driving blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). She is scheduled to appear in court on December 7, 2020.
