Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. – At approximately 10:25 a.m. this morning a fire broke out in a home on the 300 block of Albert Street.
Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services arrived to a two story home to find a fire on the second floor.
All available pumpers were on scene as well as the platoon commander to battle the flames. The smoke and flames were not visible from the outside to onlookers who gathered on Albert Street to watch the mid-morning action.
Firefighters attacked the flames with a fast attack line from pumper 1. A line was run to a hydrant but in the end was not needed in the end.
Sault Ste. Marie Police Services and paramedics were also on scene while crews battled the blaze.
The cause, damage estimate and state of injuries are currently unknown.
