Man Charged with Robbery

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – On December 3, 2020 officers with the Crime Suppression Unit and Patrol Services arrested 32-year-old Tyler Ruzyski for robbery.

It’s alleged on three occasions between November 22, 2020 and December 3, 2020 the accused attended businesses in the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard with a mask on, displayed a knife to an employee, threatened to harm them and demanded money. Each time he took a quantity of cash and left the area.

Officers located the accused in the area of Elizabeth Street and Breton Road at 2:21 p.m. on December 2, 2020 and he was arrested. A subsequent search of the area of arrest found the accused to be in possession of a pocket knife, a mask and the exact amount of money taken from a business during a robbery that was reported at 1:14 p.m.

He is charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, possession of property obtained by crime, three counts of disguise with intent and failing to comply with an. He was held for bail court.



  1. Many of these same criminals have been arrested dozens of times and are back on the street in hours. As long as the local judges continue this pitiful practice the mayhem will continue.
