Special weather statement in effect for:
- Agawa – Lake Superior Park
- Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
- Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
Heavy snowfall tonight into Wednesday morning.
Snow is expected to move into portions of northern Ontario overnight and persist for much of the day Wednesday. The snow may fall heavily at times, particularly overnight and Wednesday morning.
Total snowfall accumulations near 10 centimetres are expected and a few locations may receive closer to 15 centimetres.
Winter weather travel advisories and possible snowfall warnings may be issued with this weather system.

Why is 15cm considered HEAVY snow? I WOULD THINK PERHAPS 25 CM MIGHT BE THE HEAVY TYPE.
