Dr. Roberta Bondar went to space
A bridge took the ferry’s place
Elton John, Kenny Rogers and Mötley Crüe
All happened in 100 years of the Soo.

The Espisitos’, Gretzky and Francis played here
’93 Memorial Cup was a great year
Terry fox on a mission, ran through
In 100 years of the Soo

Boardwalk and Hub Trail came to be
Bushplane and canal district are now a must see
Ermatinger-Clergue is as good as new,
In 100 years of the Soo.

Unilingual city and smugglers, highlight bad times
Jamestown once looked really fine.
Olympic medalists have called us home too.
In 100 years of the Soo.

More than 100?  the lock gates were breached,
A four-dollar bill with American locks was seen
The university replaced a residential school
In 100 years of the Soo

The Queen came to the Windsor Hotel
Algoma Steel and Tenaris expanded as well
Highway 17 finally ran through
In 100 years in the Soo

We’ve seen so much in 100 years
Especially if you’ve always lived here.
This captures only part of what the citizens knew
This has been 100 years of the Soo.
