On January 1, 2021 officers with Patrol Services charged 28-year-old Tyler Wood with refusing to comply with a demand.
At 2:35 p.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Korah Road and Douglas Street. Upon arrival officers observed the accused in the driver’s seat of a vehicle and he was the lone occupant. Upon speaking with the accused officers developed grounds to believe his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs.
He was arrested. A subsequent search of the area of arrest found him to be in possession of a quantity of a substance believed to be fentanyl. During the investigation officers determined the accused is a suspended driver. Later while officers attempted to administer a Drug Recognition Evaluation the accused refused to cooperate.
He is charged with refusing to comply with a demand, possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 8, 2021.
