Algoma residents have access to one stop guide for outdoor activities

Sault Ste. Marie,ON – If quarantining has you searching for activities you can do safely outside of the walls of your home,then check out the Outdoor Winter Recreation Activities Directory.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie and Acorn Information Solutions have partnered to create a one-stop guide to help you plan your outdoor winter activities. The directory will show you locations, hours of operation,and other important details of outdoor activities including:

  • Cross Country Skiing Trails
  • Fat Bike Trails
  • Outdoor Skating Rinks
  • Snowshoe Trails
  • Tobogganing Hills
  • Winter Walking Trails

Users can simply choose to view all activities or individual activities listed above and icons will appear on a map. Once the icons are clicked, information about the activity locations will pop up.

Under the provincial government shutdown, outdoor recreational facilities remain open as a method of physical activity. Users of any outdoor site should plan their visit accordingly. No groups larger than 5 people are permitted and; those outside of your household must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres. Masking is recommended at all times, even outdoors.
