In a spirited affair, Canada has lost the IIHF World Juniors gold medal game.

The Americans scored one in the first, one in the second and despite the Canadians leaving it all on the ice, they were unable to bring it back to even.

This means that Mayor Christian Provenzano will be wearing a Lake State Jersey at some point in the near future to a Council meeting.

He lost a friendly wager with Mayor Don Gerry of our twin city Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

We will have more reaction on the outcome of the game tomorrow.
