UPDATED – COVID confirmed at east end Tim Hortons

The Tim Hortons at Trunk Road and Boundary was closed this past Sunday for deep cleaning. Two sources close to the situation confirmed with Saultonline.com that at least one employee who worked Saturday had tested positive for COVID-19.

Management immediately contacted all staff who had worked with the individual and instructed them to stay home, self-isolate and get a COVID test. Sources said the owner was honest and forthcoming with the staff about the situation and the store was immediately shutdown when it came to light.

The store was closed Sunday, January 3, 2021. We now have updated information from another source this didn’t happen until somewhere around mid-afternoon.

Management has taken every measure possible to ensure the continued safety of both patrons and staff members.
