After over 30 years at Rogers radio station Country 104.3 FM, well-known morning radio personality Jeff McNeice is joining Sovereign Communications on January 11th, where he begins the “Jeff McNeice in the Morning” show on local Sault Ste. Marie radio station Country 105 (105.5 FM) for the media company.

Jeff’s two primary roles at Sovereign will be first and foremost to build a new, fun and entertaining Morning Show on Country 105, delivering great entertainment, information and music to the area’s large Country audience each weekday morning. He will also be working to connect the Sovereign Communications radio stations more closely to local community events and promotional activities.

Bill Gleich, President of Sovereign Communications said: “I’m very excited to finally have Jeff on our team, he’s one of the most respected and successful radio professionals in our area with a true passion for our business. Sovereign Chief Operating Officer, Keith Neve added: “This is an exciting time for Country 105 (105.5 FM) and for Sovereign Communications, being able to add live and local talent to the station is a win for us and I believe the community.”

McNeice commented “I am so excited to be afforded the ability to continue my Radio career with the listeners in the twin Soos! I have heard for weeks from the fine folks in Radioland, “when one door closes, another one opens.” Thanks to Bill the Prez and COO Keith, I will break down the new door with vim and vigor and l look forward to spending time with you. I have been given new life at a crossroads in my career and I am over the moon excited to get the party started!”

  1. Hi Jeff, I am so happy to hear your back!!
I stopped listening to Q104 after you left. Definitely not the same without you. I really enjoy 105.5 and it’s even better now!
Congrats on your new gig and congrats to 105.5 for picking you up!! Great move!!

  2. This will be my new radio station to listen to. As was already mentioned, Country 104.3 has not been the same without you! I enjoyed listening to local news with you as host, Jeff.

How can a radio show host relate to local people when the show is being broadcast from 8 or 10 hours away?? Our radio was always set to Country 104 but now I am anxious to start listening to 105.5. Good Luck in your new venture!

  3. Great News, Glad to have you back Jeff, Rogers loss, My advertising dollars will follow you. It has been a killer listening to 104 since you have left. Listening to the morning show from Ottawa. No local discussions. Look forward to hearing you again
