On January 18, 2021 officers with patrol services charged 23-year-old James Pidgen with impaired driving by alcohol and drugs causing bodily harm.
At 6:51 a.m. officers responded to three-vehicle collision on Trunk Road near Queensgate Boulevard. Three people, two of the drivers and a passenger, were transported to hospital.
Upon speaking with the accused officers developed grounds to believe his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs. He was given a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, he performed poorly. He was arrested and later completed a Drug Recognition Evaluation which he performed poorly.
He is charged with impaired driving by alcohol and drugs causing bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 1, 2021.
