Sessions Cannabis is Now Open For Business in Sault Ste Marie

Sessions in the Soo opens Wednesday, January 13th for curbside pick-up and delivery

SAULT STE MARIE, ON – Sessions Cannabis (Sessions), continues to grow as Ontario’s fastest-growing legal retail brand with the Grand Opening of its Sault Ste Marie location at 216 Second Line W. Sessions in the Soo (beside M&M Meats Shop and Subway) will not be welcoming customers inside the store for its grand opening day due to the current lockdown, but the store will be open for curbside pick-up and free 90 minute delivery as of Wednesday, January 13th.

”We are proud to build our brand in this community while elevating the legal cannabis retail industry,” says Steven Fry, CEO and Co-Founder of Sessions Cannabis. “These are unique times to be opening retail stores. We really have to market ourselves to make sure this shutdown keeps legal retail competitive and customers out of the black market.”

The team at Sessions are no strangers to navigating strict regulations. Prior to COVID restrictions, the brand along with the rest of the cannabis industry has had to pivot and get creative while complying with tightly regulated cannabis sale and marketing guidelines. Whether in-store or online, Sessions Cannabis has remained committed to their customers’ experience.

Sessions retail stores are designed as open concept environments where the product is nearly at the customer’s fingertips. When customers are able to come in and explore the new Sessions in the Soo store, it will feature Session’s signature design including custom smoke ring lighting and product-forward merchandising that creates an immersive customer experience. Both online and in-store, Sessions promises to be the local source for some of the industry’s most reputable and popular cannabis brands offering a range of product types including dried flower, pre-rolls, vaporizers, edibles, beverages, and accessories.

Sessions Cannabis was started over a year ago and has since served hundreds of thousands of customers across the province. In the past year, the Sessions team has done an impressive job opening 14 locations with 30 more scheduled for 2021. “We have successfully continued to serve our customers amidst COVID-19,” notes Fry. “We are determined to move forward and have fully adapted our other locations to ensure our customers and employees feel safe.”

  1. I’d like to know why people can go in the LCBO stores but it’s curbside pickup for cannabis stores, along with many other stores. What’s the rationale?
