Woman Charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm

On January 2, 2021 officers with Patrol Services arrested 56-year-old Leslie MacDiarmid for assault causing bodily harm.

It’s alleged the accused approached the victim near their residence in the 0-100 block of Albert Street East, struck a victim with a hammer and attempted to strike them again. The victim was able to leave the area and notify police. They were later transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police located the accused in the same area as the incident and she was arrested. She is charged with assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

She was held for WASH court.
