BOSSIO, Teresa (nee Fata)


It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Teresa on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at the age of 91.

Beloved wife of the late Fiorenzo Bossio. Loving mother of Laura Pino (Claudio) of Ottawa and Joe Bossio (Colleen) of Sault Ste. Marie.

Loving grandmother of Sandra Polito (Mike) of Ottawa, Ray Pino (Stephanie) of Montreal, Troy, Travis, Triscilla & Joey Bossio of Sault Ste. Marie, and Triona Chambers (Buddy) of Texas. Great Grandmother of Anna and Ross Polito of Ottawa, Lorenzo and Elio Pino of Montreal, Joey Bossio of Sault Ste. Marie/Texas and Leona and Seth Chambers of Texas.

Cherished daughter of the late Francesco and Carmella (nee Lepore) Fata. Loving sister of Guerino Fata (late Esterina) (Angelina) and the late Giovanni Fata. Sister-in-law of the late Vittorio Bossio (Angela), late Astorino Bossio (Fenice), late Antonia Fata (Natale), late Ellina Fata (Pasquale), late Veneranda Bruni (Bruno) and the late Gilda Bossio (Peppino) all of Italy, Adolfo Bossio (Isabella) of Ottawa and Agostino Bossio (late Maria) of Sault Ste. Marie.

Teresa will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Italy, Sault Ste. Marie, Ottawa, Thunder Bay and Australia.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Due to the current pandemic there is a maximum attendance restriction of 40 attendees in the Funeral Home at one time. Mandatory for everyone is the use of hand sanitizer, masks or face coverings and physical distancing of 2 meters unless members of the same household.

Due to attendance restrictions, a private family service will be held with Father Pat Woods officiating. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. If you wish to attend the Graveside Service and Entombment you are invited to arrive at Northwood Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:25 a.m. and park in procession, please remain in your vehicles upon arrival.

Memorial donations to the SAH Critical Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
