Dwayne Arthur Houle (affectionately known to some as Chico) passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, with his guardian angels, Nancy and Sarah by his side on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the age of 55.

Beloved son of the late Emile and Beatrice Houle. Loving brother of Doug, Danny, Dale, Emile (Paula) and predeceased by Robert and Darrell. Dwayne will be sadly missed by his nephew Jonathan.

Special lifelong friend of Chantal Vigneault.

Dwayne loved painting and all things sports including his love of the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs and he was a season ticket holder and loyal fan of the Soo Greyhounds. He loved being involved in his community and thrived being around people. Dwayne shared his abilities with pride and never let limitations prohibit him from achieving his goals. He leaves our community in a better place as he had a positive impact on everyone he met. Dwayne taught each one of us to live our lives to the fullest and to be determined to overcome our challenges and barriers, no matter how difficult they are.

The rocks he distributed throughout his neighbourhood and community will remain as jewels he leaves behind for people to cherish. Dwayne was respected, supported and treated as a citizen until the moment he passed. He will be remembered by many.

A Celebration of Dwayne’s life will be announced at a later date. Special thanks to everyone who supported Dwayne as a citizen of his community including Sault Area Hospital staff in the Intensive Care Unit, Nurses, Personal Support Workers of 2C, the Respiratory Department, Vital Aire, NE LHIN, Dr. Micomonaco, Dr. Tull and to the support professionals at Community Living Algoma whom he cherished, respected, trusted and adored.

Memorial contributions to Canadian Tire Jumpstart for Kids would be appreciated.
