Co-Founder and CEO of Yardroid, Dan Lubrich, reached out to SaultOnline with a glimpse of what the future may hold when it comes to a little help with outdoor chores. If you’ve had the opportunity to see a robotic vacuum cleaner like iRobot’s Roomba in action as it endeavors to keep your floors inside the house clean, you might be just as impressed with the Yardroid, a landscaping robit Dan’s team currently has under development.
Seen in the video above, the Yardroid is completely focused on helping out with chores outside around the house. Equipped with a plow in winter, it sets out to keep the driveway and walkways clear of snow. In the summer Yardroid deploys a mower, blower and water gun to cut the grass, irrigate gardens and continue keeping walkways clear of debris.
It doesn’t seem to end there either. Yardroid can take aim at pesky weeds, pests, unwanted guests and even entertaining the kids. Resembling a mini tank, Yardroid is guided by computer vision and artificial intelligence, even with the ability to refill it’s water reservoir!
