Lake Effect Snow Could Bring a Fast 10 cm By Tomorrow

Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
Winter Weather Travel Advisory for tonight and Wednesday.

Lake effect snow bands and heavy flurries will move into the region tonight and shift back and forth across the region through Wednesday morning giving variable amounts of snow. Local amounts of 5 to 10 centimetres of snow can be expected by Wednesday morning. The heavier bands of snow will likely move north of Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday morning.

Travel may become hazardous at times tonight and on Wednesday due to accumulating snow and slippery conditions. Visibility could locally be reduced at times in heavy flurries.
