Man Charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm

On February 1, 2021 officers with Patrol Services charged 28-year-old Robert Graham with assault causing bodily harm.

At 3:55 p.m. officers responded to a call of an unwanted person in the 0-100 block of Wellington Street West. When officers asked the accused to leave the area he became confrontational and began assaulting officers.

Conducted Energy Weapons were deployed and officers were able to gain control of the accused.

He is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, aggravated assault, four counts of resisting arrest and two counts of disarming a peace officer. He was held for bail court.

  1. I’ve lived in the Soo since the mid 80’s and it’s always had it’s rough side, the same as anywhere else in the world.. Pick a city, pick a town, they’ve all got problems… The biggest one here is our catch and release, slap on the wrist justice system.. People get caught, get released on their own recognisance, and are back on the street doing the same crimes within hours, if not minutes. Even our own police chief is fed up with it, as he said in a interview a short while ago.. Don’t know where you are planning on moving to , Mike, but Utopia doesn’t exist…LOL..

  2. I’ve lived in many different places but have been living in Sault Ste Marie for 10 years now.
    Never have I witnessed a city deteriorate and fall into a downward spiral so quickly and badly.
    Finally made the decision to move my family out of here and close the business here. Counting the seconds.
