Three Charged with Pointing a Firearm

On February 11, 2021 officers with Investigation Services charged three youth with pointing a firearm.

On February 8, 2021 four youths met in the area of Douglas Street and Turner Avenue. It is alleged three boys threatened another boy with a bat and pointed an imitation firearm at the victim and took property from the victim. The victim was able to leave the area and call police.

Officers located the three accused on February 11, 2021 and they were arrested.

A 13-year-old boy is charged with pointing a firearm, using an imitation firearm while committing an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, armed robbery and uttering threats.

A 14-year-old boy is charged with pointing a firearm, using an imitation firearm while committing an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, armed robbery and uttering threats.

A 12-year-old boy is charged with pointing a firearm, using an imitation firearm while committing an offence, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, armed robbery and uttering threats.

All three of the accused are scheduled to appear in court on March 23, 2021.
