If you were down near the Bushplane Centre around noon on Saturday March 20, 2021, you would have seen Chopper and Smokey welcoming in spring.
The mascots along with Edie Suriano, Marketing & Promotions Manager for the museum, were meeting and talking with kids and parents alike along Bay Street.
Suriano said the Bushplane Centre is currently open and looking forward to a hopefully a much busier season than last year.
“We’re trying to plan things for the future that we really hope things improve over the summer so we can have our annual events like Bushplane Days in September, which is a biggie for us and our craft show and Steel City NerdCon, we’re hoping that’s back,” said Suriano. “Right now, we’re back open, we’re trying to invite people to come down and enjoy the museum. It’s all open, our movies are running.”
With the pandemic into it’s second year, and vaccinations starting in our community, everyone is hopeful it’s only a matter of time for the Bushplane Centre can be back in full swing.
