Heavy police presence near downtown

Sault Police Services on Morin Street, March 17, 2021 (Dan Gray/Saultonline.com)

At approximately 7:30 p.m. March 17, 2021 a reader alerted SaultOnline to a developing situation.

Heavy police activity was reported to be seen in on Morin Street.

Upon arrival in the 500 block of Morin Street, I was able to witness Sault Ste. Marie Police services apprehend an individual and place them in the back of a vehicle.

Members of both the Emergency Response Unit as well as the patrol division of the service were on scene.

Area residents informed me this was the second arrest made at the same address in the past two days.

SaultOnline has reached out to Sault Police Service for comment and will share any statement when it becomes available.

  1. Play stupid games.. you win stupid prizes, time to grow up Mikel.
The whole ‘wannabe welfare gangster’ thing, inevitably manifests as lumps all over your head.

Next time maybe try saying good-evening ..or how are you today sir, just sayin’.

    Strange daze indeed..
