A local man has had enough and is hoping to launch a neighbourhood watch program in Sault Ste. Marie.
Daniel Caron like many other citizens in the community has had enough. He has seen the multiple social media reports and hopes a program like this may prevent some of the issues.
“I think people are tired of the crime we live in a amazing city and i think if we can get a handle on crime this city can be a great city and attract more businesses,” said Caron.
Caron hopes people will sleep a little easier if there is a watch program in place. He also hopes he can receive support from local law enforcement for his project. He plans to bring it to the table with Sault Police Chief Hugh Stevenson sometime soon.
The plan is to get multiple people involved to help organize groups in all corners of the city. If you are interested in helping out you can reach out to him on Facebook.
