Northwood Team holds Women’s Day Drive in support of Pauline’s Place

In honour of International Women’s Day, the Northwood team has been hosting a Women’s Day Drive collecting clothing & feminine hygiene products with all donations going to our local Pauline’s Place.

“We started the drive on Monday, March 1st via our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram), accepting donations in our front colonnade as well as doing doorstep pick ups, and are still collecting until Monday, March 8th (International Women’s Day).”

As an incentive to help spread the word, the Northwood team is also running a social media Giveaway. If you donate to the drive and share the donation information post, you are entered into a draw. The prize is a basket made up of goodies and certificates that they purchased from local, small businesses, owned by some amazing women in our community,(Paint and Decor Concepts, The Breakfast Pig, Krush, The Healing Loft and Samantha Beauty).

To date, Northwood has by extremely happy with the out-pour of support from the community. “We have been receiving drop-offs daily and we did a round of pickups on Thursday with about 15 stops. As a young woman working at a locally owned business, it warms my heart to see the support our community continues to offer to our local organizations in need”, stated Terra Seaton, Funeral Director at Northwood Funeral Home.

If you have any way of helping to get the word out for the last couple days of the drive that would be great. I wish I would have thought of this sooner, someone just mentioned it to me yesterday about letting you guys know to help spread the word.

There is still a few days left to participate, simply head over to the Northwood Facebook Page for more information.
