Shortly after 6:30 p.m. March 19, 2021, Sault Fire Services were called to an address on the west-end of the city.
Upon arrival in the 0-100 block of Henrietta Avenue, firefighters encountered a house with no visible flames coming from it. Smoke could be seen coming from the second floor.
Upon entering the home, firefighters encountered a small fire and extinguished it quickly. Paramedics were called to the scene and could be seen speaking with an individual at the scene.
Pumpers 1, 2 and 4 as well as the Platoon Chief were on scene for around an hour dealing with the situation.
The cause of the fire as well as extent of damage are currently unknown. SaultOnline will update if more information becomes available.
