The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce / STRIVE Young Professionals Group – Algoma Vaccination Support Council continues to support the efforts of the COVID-19 Community Vaccine Hub. The AVSC and its members have been sponsoring lunches for Hub workers and volunteers for the last few weekends.

The Algoma Vaccination Support Council recently prepared a FAQ sheet on COVID -19 vaccines.

The goal of the Algoma Vaccination Support Council is to increase vaccination literacy, disseminate information about local vaccination opportunities, and provide support wherever possible to vaccination efforts. The AVSC is grateful for the support of its many members, who are helping us achieve our goals thanks to their donations of time, professional expertise, sponsorships and financial support.

This week, we would like to extend a very sincere thank you to I.D.A. Drug Marts (Queenstown I.D.A., Market Mall I.D.A., Wellington Square I.D.A. and Ideal I.D.A.) for their support of the AVSC. Their donation of $2,800 will assist with educational materials, support for the Vaccination Hubs and team members, transportation for community members to-and-from vaccination appointments, and more. Thank you again to the entire team at our local I.D.A. Drug Marts.
