Spring is here, and the City wants to spread some good cheer by encouraging local youth to show off their creativity.
The City is launching a ‘Spring has Sprung’ decorating contest for local children, who are challenged to decorate the windows/front yards of their homes in celebration of the start of spring.
Winners in each ward will be selected by Mayor Provenzano and City Councillors, with the best displays to be announced on May 3, 2021. All winners will receive a gift card from a local garden centre. To enter, email photos of your spring-themed displays to [email protected] Along with the pictures, please include your name, address and contact information. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2021.
“I encourage all children in our community to participate in what we hope will be a fun activity,” said Mayor Christian Provenzano. “I recognize this is a challenging time as we find ourselves in the midst of a stay-at-home order, and my office wanted to organize an enjoyable project that families could work on together.”
