At approximately 6:20 a.m. this morning, Sault Fire Services responded to a call from city police noting heavy smoke coming from a shed in the 300 block of McNabb Street.

Upon arrival, smoke could be seen drifting over the street and settling in the area behind the Canadian Tire.

Firefighters from all stations were on scene working to put the structure out.

McNabb Street was closed because firefighters had to use the hydrant across the street from the residence. PUC was called in to shut down power to the affected building.
