  1. I can guarantee that 90% if those bitching about people speeding are no better due to their hypocritical traffic law-breaking tendencies. On that note, I hope the ass is found soon!!

  2. And what does the Police Chief, by himself, have as powers to control speeding? City Council dictates policy, and directs the Chief and our police department to implement our speeding bylaws. Do you want more radar sites operated? How about more traffic stops? Then we need to contact our city council and demand it. However, then, we have to balance this against their other duties.

    • Councillors in ward 2 don’t return phone calls. It seems they’re in it for the income and to bow to whatever Provenzano wants. They definitely do not represent the citizens in their ward. The next election is too far away…

      • Hahahahahah Jesse, you do realize they’re not really ‘paid’, right? Less than $30K a year per councilor, seems like they put up with a lot of baloney for that paltry sum of $2500 a month…

  3. And what is the mayor, by himself, going to do? He has no “executive orders”, no “powers by fiat”, no dictatorial powers. Call your council person and demand action. Write letters, emails, etc. It’s up to all of US to get something done.

  5. Thank you to Sault Online and their writers for showing some decency and morality by not showing covered bodies or personal identifiers before next of kin can be notified.
Not all media outlets have a moral conscience.

  6. When is our Police Chief going to do something about the speeding in this town. How many people have to die before he wakes up?
