Police Presence on Foothill Road

Over the past few days, SaultOnline has received comments from multiple readers about a home on Foothill Road surrounded by police tape.

As of this morning one police cruiser can still be seen guarding a residence in the 100 block, readers have noted a forensics vehicle and multiple units have attended over the past few days.

Saultonline reached out to Sault Police Services for comment and spoke with Communications Manager Lincoln Louttit.

He informed us he does not believe there will be any formal media release on the situation.

  1. Dan, you are doing a great job. Do NOT allow the negative comments of a few disturbed in-DUH-viduals bother you.

    If local news is not reported by the local media, it is “reported” on social media where people add and distort the truth with their ignorance.

  2. Hi Dan, just want to say you are doing incredible work as journalist. I dont know WTF is going on with people criticizing you covering “news” as if it were gossip. There is nothing at all unprofessional in how you are reporting, you have respect, consideration for those affected. I think social media is blurring the lines and making your job way more difficult. I too saw the police & forensics at foothill road, and was amazed at the stupid, idiotic comments from a certain facebook group. I’ve never seen anything so ridiculous.
