As was previously reported, a fire broke out at Apex Log Homes in the 1300 block of Goulais Avenue late April 30, 2021.

Sault Fire Services spent over 8 hours on scene. Police could be seen securing the area during the early morning hours of May 1, 2021 while an Fire Prevention officer conducted his investigation.

Plenty of online speculation could be seen over the weekend as to the cause of the blaze as community concern grew over the alarming amount of fires recently.

SaultOnline reached out to Sault Police Services as they could be seen on site.

Communications Managers, Lincoln Louttit, responded this morning.

“The fire is not considered suspicious at this time,” said Louttit.

The Apex fire concluded a week where there were four fires in the community.
